CATALOG DESCRIPTION

An introduction to the fundamental concepts of biological science will be covered. Topics include structures and processes from molecules to organisms, cell structure and function, cellular respiration, photosynthesis, cellular reproduction, patterns of inheritance, the structure and function of DNA, gene expression and regulation, genetic engineering, DNA technology and genomics, bioinformatics and biological databases, synthetic biology, applying engineering to biology and nanobiotechnology.
